Mark joined the Utilities and Infrastructure team in 2008 after completing a HND/FdSc in Rural Enterprise and Land Management at Harper Adams University College. He gained AssocRICS accreditation in 2010 and has primarily worked in the gas, electric, fibre optic and water industries facilitating and negotiating agreements with landowners on behalf of client utility and telecom companies. Mark enjoys playing and watching a range of sports, in particular squash and racket sports, and travelling and he has a keen interest in music, occasionally mixing both!

Richard is the Managing Director of the LinesearchbeforeUdig service which is a Fisher German Joint Venture. Richard’s role involves the management of an online service (available at www.lsbud.co.uk) to help ensure the protection of over 40 members’ assets against over 1.2 million enquiries per annum. Richard has been in the Utilities & Infrastructure sector for over four years, previously managing the Mainline Pipelines contract, handling third party enquiries, maintenance and major projects as well as contract queries, time analysis and invoicing. He sits on the Ashby Utilities management team and is responsible for graduate recruitment and training across the firm, using his experience as a registered APC assessor. He is an active member of the Pipeline Industries Guild Midlands Branch. Having achieved his degree at the Rural Agricultural University, Richard moved to the business in 2007, initially qualifying (for RICS and CAAV examinations) in the Rural Consultancy sector. He lives in North West Leicestershire with his young family. He enjoys all aspects of rural pursuits and sport generally, including golf, rugby and football.

Andrew, Chief Operating Officer for Fisher German LLP, has 20 years' experience working within Fisher German initially on the rural professional side of the business before specialising in utility and infrastructure management. In addition to his role as head of the utilities and infrastructure sector, he is also a member of the management team and has responsibility for the firm's business support operations Andrew is a member of the Managing Partners Forum, Institute of Directors and RICS. He chairs the Midlands Branch of the Pipeline Industries Guild, is a board member of the National Forest Charitable Trust and chairs the Heart of the National Forest Development Board. Andrew has two young children and his interests outside of work are sports orientated, be it coaching at Ashby Rugby Club or training for some form of endurance challenge.

Ross's career in the construction industry started in 2002, and since 2009 has been exposed to different aspects of building surveying work, which culminated in the undertaking and completion of a degree in Building surveying and since 2014 has been working as an Assistant Building Surveyor. Ross's work involves contract administration, design and specification and schedule of conditions. He is well versed in AutoCAD, measured surveys and a large portion of his work is with listed and historic buildings. He is also experienced in a variety of sectors, from education and commercial to domestic. Works undertaken include a range of building regulation and planning applications for adaptations and extensions for domestic clients as well as contract administration for the adaption and refurbishment of a range of listed buildings for the National Trust and project management role for construction project at a secondary school. Residing in South Derbyshire with his young family, Ross has an interest in most sports and enjoys keeping fit.

Paul started his career in the construction industry and became a time served carpenter and joiner before moving on to train in construction site management. A degree in building surveying at the University of Reading followed in the early 1990's. On graduation Paul joined the National Trust and was fortunate to work and learn on the continuing repair of some of the finest houses and estates in the Midlands region. Paul is accredited in conservation by RICS. Paul left the National Trust in 2002 to set up his own practice specialising in the conservation of listed buildings,defect analysis and dilapidation's work. Paul cites some of his more interesting work as the survey of timber framed buildings in Port Stanley historic dockyard for the Falklands Islands government. Paul has been able to combine the work of his early career with his professional qualification and often works as an expert witness on building disputes and dilapidation's cases where listed buildings and workmanship issues are to the fore. Paul joined Fisher German in February 2016 and he works to strengthen and build the building surveying team. Outside of work Paul is undertaking a long term repair project on a barn in the Dordogne region. He is a keen cyclist and enjoys all things with 2 wheels.

Seb is a Partner of the firm and is based at our Ashby de la Zouch office. Seb acts for clients in the water, gas and electricity industries. He is a qualified Chartered Surveyor, Agricultural Valuer and PRINCE2 Project Manager. Seb joined Fisher German in 2003 and after spending five years in the Market Harborough office managing rural landed estates, he moved to the Ashby office into the Utilities & Infrastructure team. Since then, he has been involved in a diverse range of infrastructure schemes involving referencing, negotiations of access for surveys, preparation of consents and notices, compensation, licences and pipe and cable laying. In addition, he also undertakes Injurious Affection claims and specialises in large property portfolio and development claims. He negotiates land rights for clients and has used compulsory purchase options to ensure the required rights are delivered. Seb has been involved with the firm's GIS delivery for many years and is now involved in the specification and delivery of both GIS services and data manipulation and processing for GIS projects. Seb has also been heavily involved in the development and innovation of Fisher German’s online project management application and online mapping system. He has managed the review of the firms Ordnance Survey compliance and is the representative for the Fisher German OS Partnership. In recent years, Seb has held positions of office as National Chairman of the National Youth Panel of the Pipeline Industries Guild and Young Valuers Chairman of Midland Counties Agricultural Valuers Association. He is also an examiner for the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers and for Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He also is a chairman for Fisher German’s internal mock APC assessments held in the spring and autumn. In 2015 Seb was invited to become a member of the partnership as a Fixed Share Partner.

Matthew joined Fisher German in 2006, after qualifying as a chartered surveyor with Frank R Marshall in Cheshire. During his first seven years with the firm, he worked predominantly on the management of the Government Pipelines and Storage System contract and became a Local Partner in 2013. Matthew is now the Contract Manager for the Total oil pipelines which are managed from our Ashby office. The main elements of the contract are organisation of pipeline and easement maintenance activities, landowner liaison, pipeline safety initiatives and managing 3rd party works being undertaken in close proximity to the pipelines. The Total contract team that report directly to Matthew include 3 pipeline maintenance technicians and a contract administrator. Matthew also oversees the asset creation work that Fisher German undertake for Severn Trent Water from the Ashby office. This work includes the acquisition of rights in land for capital projects, landowner consultation, managing land access issues, landowner compensation and regular client reporting. Matthew is married to Mel and they have Border Terrier to keep them exercised and entertained. In his spare time Matthew is a keen racing driver and until recently was a member of the management team of the Caterham 7 owners club with responsibility for organising the club’s motor sport activities.

Clare is one of our departmental heads and specialises in the management, promotion and construction of linear apparatus, with direct experience in the provision of IT solutions to complex client management portfolios. Clare has recently been advising clients on the implications of the Planning Act 2008 on their wayleaves, easements, leases and freehold acquisition, with the introduction of the IPC. Her extensive knowledge of the utility and pipeline industry has been gained over 20 years of practice. Clare has been with the partnership since leaving Cirencester and became a partner in 1998. Her family background is in quarrying although minerals are not one of her areas of expertise. Married, with two children, life outside the partnership is largely taken up with the childrens' sporting activities rather than hers, although she can be regularly seen supporting Leicester Tigers at Welford Road!

Outside work, Sam spends most of his time watching and playing a variety of different sports but more specifically he trains and plays for the local Ashby rugby team. 2012. He has experience in landlord and tenancy issues, such as undertaking dilapidations where parties are renewing or leaving a lease. Integral to his role, he also undertakes measured surveys and the subsequent production of drawings using AutoCAD for inclusion in tenders and reports. In addition, he identifies health and safety implications for projects in accordance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations. Andrew has worked with the Department of Education, producing reports on the current condition of schools to help produce five year maintenance and repair schedules, undertaking surveys on residential and commercial premises for the Environment Agency whilst they undertake flood alleviation schemes and refurbishment works for the Salvation Army and Abbeyfield Care Homes. During his free time, Andrew is a keen follower of all things motorsport, playing football with friends and trying to find time to travel to the local airfield with his father to fly gliders and motor gliders.

On joining Fisher German's Rural Consultancy Sector, Emanuel was principally engaged in Rural Property, Estate and Farm Management for a range of both private and commercial clients across Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. Emanuel qualified as a Rural Chartered Surveyor in 2014 and was put forward for the RICS Young Surveyor of the Year Competition in London in 2015, being shortlisted and Highly Commended by the judging panel. As of 1 April 2017, Emanuel was promoted to Associate in the Rural Department of the Ashby de la Zouch office. Since 2015, Emanuel has become involved with a range of general practice work including land sales, telecoms and landlord and tenant matters. As of 1 January 2017, Emanuel is retained by a large PLC managing a range of property interests across the Midlands, in addition to private client asset management. Paul started his career in the construction industry and became a time served carpenter and joiner before moving on to train in construction site management. A degree in building surveying at the University of Reading followed in the early 1990's. On graduation Paul joined the National Trust and was fortunate to work and learn on the continuing repair of some of the finest houses and estates in the Midlands region. Paul is accredited in conservation by RICS. Paul left the National Trust in 2002 to set up his own practice specialising in the conservation of listed buildings,defect analysis and dilapidation's work. Paul cites some of his more interesting work as the survey of timber framed buildings in Port Stanley historic dockyard for the Falklands Islands government. Paul has been able to combine the work of his early career with his professional qualification and often works as an expert witness on building disputes and dilapidation's cases where listed buildings and workmanship issues are to the fore. Paul joined Fisher German in February 2016 and he works to strengthen and build the building surveying team. Outside of work Paul is undertaking a long term repair project on a barn in the Dordogne region. He is a keen cyclist and enjoys all things with 2 wheels.

Seb is a Partner of the firm and is based at our Ashby de la Zouch office. Seb acts for clients in the water, gas and electricity industries. He is a qualified Chartered Surveyor, Agricultural Valuer and PRINCE2 Project Manager. Seb joined Fisher German in 2003 and after spending five years in the Market Harborough office managing rural landed estates, he moved to the Ashby office into the Utilities & Infrastructure team. Since then, he has been involved in a diverse range of infrastructure schemes involving referencing, negotiations of access for surveys, preparation of consents and notices, compensation, licences and pipe and cable laying. In addition, he also undertakes Injurious Affection claims and specialises in large property portfolio and development claims. He negotiates land rights for clients and has used compulsory purchase options to ensure the required rights are delivered. Seb has been involved with the firm's GIS delivery for many years and is now involved in the specification and delivery of both GIS services and data manipulation and processing for GIS projects. Seb has also been heavily involved in the development and innovation of Fisher German’s online project management application and online mapping system. He has managed the review of the firms Ordnance Survey compliance and is the representative for the Fisher German OS Partnership. In recent years, Seb has held positions of office as National Chairman of the National Youth Panel of the Pipeline Industries Guild and Young Valuers Chairman of Midland Counties Agricultural Valuers Association. He is also an examiner for the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers and for Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Matthew joined Fisher German in 2006, after qualifying as a chartered surveyor with Frank R Marshall in Cheshire. During his first seven years with the firm, he worked predominantly on the management of the Government Pipelines and Storage System contract and became a Local Partner in 2013. Matthew is now the Contract Manager for the Total oil pipelines which are managed from our Ashby office. The main elements of the contract are organisation of pipeline and easement maintenance activities, landowner liaison, pipeline safety initiatives and managing 3rd party works being undertaken in close proximity to the pipelines. The Total contract team that report directly to Matthew include 3 pipeline maintenance technicians and a contract administrator. Matthew also oversees the asset creation work that Fisher German undertake for Severn Trent Water from the Ashby office. This work includes the acquisition of rights in land for capital projects, landowner consultation, managing land access issues, landowner compensation and regular client reporting. Matthew is married to Mel and they have Border Terrier to keep them exercised and entertained. In his spare time Matthew is a keen racing driver and until recently was a member of the management team of the Caterham 7 owners club with responsibility for organising the club’s motor sport activities.

Clare is one of our departmental heads and specialises in the management, promotion and construction of linear apparatus, with direct experience in the provision of IT solutions to complex client management portfolios. Clare has recently been advising clients on the implications of the Planning Act 2008 on their wayleaves, easements, leases and freehold acquisition, with the introduction of the IPC. Her extensive knowledge of the utility and pipeline industry has been gained over 20 years of practice. Clare has been with the partnership since leaving Cirencester and became a partner in 1998. Her family background is in quarrying although minerals are not one of her areas of expertise. Married, with two children, life outside the partnership is largely taken up with the childrens' sporting activities rather than hers, although she can be regularly seen supporting Leicester Tigers at Welford Road!

Integral to his role, he also undertakes measured surveys and the subsequent production of drawings using AutoCAD for inclusion in tenders and reports. In addition, he identifies health and safety implications for projects in accordance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations. Andrew has worked with the Department of Education, producing reports on the current condition of schools to help produce five year maintenance and repair schedules, undertaking surveys on residential and commercial premises for the Environment Agency whilst they undertake flood alleviation schemes and refurbishment works for the Salvation Army and Abbeyfield Care Homes. During his free time, Andrew is a keen follower of all things motorsport, playing football with friends and trying to find time to travel to the local airfield with his father to fly gliders and motor gliders.

Emanuel joined Fisher German in 2012, having graduated from the Royal Agricultural College with a BSc (Hons) degree in Rural Land Management. On joining Fisher German's Rural Consultancy Sector, Emanuel was principally engaged in Rural Property, Estate and Farm Management for a range of both private and commercial clients across Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. Emanuel qualified as a Rural Chartered Surveyor in 2014 and was put forward for the RICS Young Surveyor of the Year Competition in London in 2015, being shortlisted and Highly Commended by the judging panel. As of 1 April 2017, Emanuel was promoted to Associate in the Rural Department of the Ashby de la Zouch office. Since 2015, Emanuel has become involved with a range of general practice work including land sales, telecoms and landlord and tenant matters. As an Associate in the rural consultancy sector, Carl's work primarily involves the strategic management of the CEMEX (UK) investment portfolio along with a number of diverse property portfolios and general professional work. Having studied Rural Enterprise and Land Management at Harper Adams University, Carl returned to his home roots in 2010 to practise for a local firm of chartered surveyors. During this time Carl qualified as a member of RICS in 2012 and as a fellow of the CAAV in 2014, whilst undertaking client side estate management for a sole practitioner. Carl is also an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Foresters and is working towards professional membership. He is disciplined in a wide variety of rural faculties from Countryside Stewarding Scheme and basic payment scheme work through to landlord/tenant, planning and compulsory purchase work. Interested in developing his mentoring skills, Carl has enrolled on the APC Assessor Training Course. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Politics and International Relations, Amy worked on policy events across a range of policy areas for the Industry and Parliament Trust in Westminster prior to joining Fisher German. Starting in 2017, she will be studying a masters in Planning and Development at the Nottingham Trent University. Having moved back from London to her home town of Ashbourne, in Derbyshire, she really appreciates the countryside and likes going on walks and runs in the Peak District. Angela is a Chartered Member of the RTPI, with over ten years' professional planning experience in the private sector. She has worked on a wide range of projects including residential, commercial and renewable energy on behalf of national, regional and local housebuilders, businesses, charities and private landowners. Angela is a Local Partner based in the Ashby office, but works out of Fisher Germans other offices on a regular basis. Angela specialises in general practice planning, advising clients on planning and development opportunities, undertaking site appraisals and estate reviews, aligned with preparation and co-ordination of planning applications and appeals. She also prepares and submits applications and appeals for large scale residential developments, undertaking critical analysis of the local planning authority's five year housing land supply, preparing environmental impact assessment (EIA) screening requests and liaising with key stakeholders and the local community. Angela lives in Derbyshire and enjoys long country walks, travelling as far afield as possible visiting new places and spending time with family and friends.

Luke joined Fisher German’s Development team in September 2014 and is involved with providing advice on development matters, with a particular focus on residential land. Working across the UK, Luke advises on the various development options, including conditional contracts, strategic agreements, and disposal of consented sites. Luke benefits from five years’ experience, the majority of which was gained working for a privately owned property investment and development firm with a nationwide remit, acting on a variety of large residential led mixed use schemes. His work has covered the full development cycle from formulating and negotiating deals, site feasibility, financial appraisal, legal negotiation, scheme design and delivery managing multi-disciplinary teams, and disposal. Outside work, Luke enjoys all sports, watching and playing, in particular American football and rugby union, playing for Southwell RFC.

Ross joined the development team in February 2017 and is involved with providing advice on development matters, with a particular focus on residential land. Working across the UK, Ross advises on the various development options, including conditional contracts, strategic agreements and disposal of consented sites. Ross benefits from four years’ surveying experience, most recently working in London for Savills in a variety of disciplines and sectors, with a particular focus on providing commercial business space asset management advice. He plans to sit his APC in 2017 in the hope of becoming a member of the RICS. Outside of work, Ross enjoys most sports and outdoor pursuits, in particular rugby union, playing for Southwell RFC.

Scott is a Chartered Member of the RTPI with a multi-disciplinary background in planning and urban design working within the General Practice Planning Team based in the Ashby office. He has experience assisting and leading on a wide range of major and minor projects, predominantly within the residential, rural and commercial sectors. His role involves advising clients on planning and development opportunities, undertaking site appraisals, the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals alongside addressing other land use and design matters, with a strong record of success. In his spare time Scott is keen to challenge himself and pursue new interests. He is learning to play the violin and working his way through the ABRSM grades. When the opportunity arises, he enjoys visiting operatic and orchestral performances, however, free time is usually taken up with the care of his ex-racehorse. He likes to travel and has a particular interest in Italy’s opulent cuisine, history and culture.

Antonia graduated from Swansea University with an honours degree in Law in 2014, and went on to complete a fully RICS and RTPI accredited MSc in International Planning and Development at Cardiff University, achieving a distinction in 2016. Since then Antonia has worked for a well-known firm in the south, but has recently relocated to Ashby to be closer to friends and family. Outside work Antonia loves cooking, travelling and exploring the countryside with her dogs. She also enjoys rowing and is looking forward to the opportunities that local sports clubs have to offer.

Emily joined Fisher German as a graduate planner in July 2017, working within the General Practice team. Having graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a BA in Human Geography including a placement year within the planning industry, Emily will continue working towards completing her MSc in Urban and Regional Planning and in the future is aiming to achieve chartered status. Outside work Emily enjoys visiting places of natural beauty and historic interest. This is especially true within her home county of Derbyshire where she has also helped the community through various volunteering projects.
